I was having a conversation with my friend the other day. She was asking me about school and how I do it and everything. I told her how school works for me, how I still have the flexibility with the kids schedules to be able to cart them around off and on all day and not have to worry about being late for work or anything. Then she dropped the bomb shell on me. She told me “aren’t you basically a stay at home mom?”. I about died. I never wanted to be a stay at home mom, I have never had that vision for myself. I know how hard it is but really I don’t need to clean the house every single day like I hear some mom’s saying they do, or feel the need to have a home cooked meal on the table every night (i like to because I like to cook). But then I thought about it. I guess I really am a SAHM, and you know what? It isn’t that bad. Of course I am a full time student as well but with being able to go to school online it gives me the flexibility I need to still not be driven crazy by my kids all day and I still get to get things done that need to be done. Granted I don’t have the kids all day, but I have my daughter most of the day, I think I have something like a 4 hour break from her all day, the other 20 hours more often or not are with me.
I made some decisions the other day while I was contemplating my new status as a SAHM, I decided to plant a small garden, I had been wanting to do this and so I did. I planted a little rectangle box and filled it with tomatoes, jalapenos, basil, garlic and onions.
I know eventually I will have to transplant them but first I wanted to make sure I could keep something alive other than a dog and my kids. I also took those bookmark type things we got at IHOP to celebrate the Lorax movie and planted those, they come with little seeds on them to plant. The kids were so excited to see that I had planted.

After our floods of 2012 in our house I also decided to clean out the kid’s toys and rearrange their rooms. it isn’t much but than again I am new to this SAHM thing. I am sure I will get more done as time allows and I get better at it. Besides a SAHM can travel whenever she wants as time permits and who doesn’t like to travel??

When I first heard about this movie I didn’t think I would like it. I had heard how good the book was but didn’t really think it would be something I would be in to. I was so WRONG! I borrowed the book from my friend while out in California, I started reading it two days ago and I finished last night. I just couldn’t seem to put it down.
I am not going to get into the beginning, middle and end of the book but I will say what I liked about it. I loved Katniss’ desire and love for her sister. i admire it. I love that she took on the responsibility of taking care of her family, of making sure they were fed. I also really enjoyed the relationships she forms while in the games. The relationship she has with Rue is expected and pleasant. By this point in the book I think she needed to have some sort of friend/ally. I understand her friendship with Gale but since the book didn’t really get to far into it I had a hard time accepting him as anything other than her friend. Now her relationship with Peeta, I guess it is safe to say I loved his character from the very beginning and I will leave it at that.
I thought the book would be more gruesome than it actually is. I think it is tastefully done. I have read books that are a lot more bloodier and gorier and this was just right, it made you understand what was going on without going over the top. I liked that about it.
I actually really want to see the movie now. Some of the people playing the characters I can totally see, like Lenny Kravits playing Cinna is totally believable, he seems like he would be down to earth like the character is. I also love that Woody Harrelson is playing Hawmitch, he is so perfect for this role.
Overall, this book really surprised me in that I loved it. I am looking forward to seeing what happens in the next book. I think everyone should read it, at least to make sure our country doesn’t fall to what theirs has become.
I have always wanted to get my palms read and my cards read, I just have never gone anywhere to get it done for whatever reason, usually I either don’t have much money when I think of it or I just don’t know where to go. My friend Risa mentioned how our classmate from high school did a type of aura/cleansing/reading type of thing. Immediately I was intrigued. I looked up her site www.healthyselfwellness.com and liked what I saw. I emailed her to see what everything was about. She told me first what would happen is she would get an idea of the things I was looking to find answers to and then “take a look” at me from her perspective and see what she saw.
We met at a local coffee place in the smack dab of the wind storm we started having on Saturday night. (lucky us) Right away she told me how we were in our own “safe place” and that I didn’t need to be worried that anything I would say was offensive or that I needed to be threatened in any way because that wasn’t what she was there to do. She also told me that the things she saw may resonate with me or they may not, that I can take what she said and either listen to it (if it made sense to me) or just pay attention but not as hard if it didn’t. I told her i understood.
Next she read through all the things she saw. I am not going into detail about what she picked out from my reading that she did but I will tell of the more prominent things that stuck out to me. The first of which is that I am a very hard person to read and to “get in to”. I found it very remarkable that she knew this about me because we weren’t really friends but more acquaintances in school, definitely not well enough to know the things that she knew about me. She also told me that I have a gift and that gift is to love. She said my potential to love is greater than she has seen (if I remember that correctly)? She also said I had a hard time trusting and there were places she wasn’t able to get to read because of that, she said she had a hard time around my neck which bothered her because that is where I talk, and shout and stick up for myself but she wasn’t able to get to it. (I know the reason why).
Overall, it was such a great experience. She started laughing because she said she found it funny that I put a lot of things behind me but every now and then I pull it back out and throw it in peoples faces. I laughed because I knew exactly what it is she was talking about. Ironically, she said the word princess popped into her head, I laughed. I told her that I had been called Princess all my life, she then told me that I need to embrace that because I am a princess in every sense of the word.
Out of all the stuff she told me that she saw the only thing that I didn’t know what the meaning of was “green apple’. I have no idea what that meant but I am sure it will come to me in the next few days. I couldn’t believe how Leslie didn’t really know me and yet she knew so much about me. I had such a great time.

I have been a BzzAgent for a few month and I have gotten to try my first product campaign. I am so excited. I got to try the Garnier Miracle skin perfector BB cream. I wasn’t sure how i was going to like it however, I like it a lot. I like that it has an SPF in it. I like how light weight it feels and it smells good too.
